Paolo Freire writes in a way that make you take a step back and say, "What the hell did I just read?" However, when you look back and you really start learning his language and how he speaks, he truly is a very brilliant man. He is a visualist and because of this you have to paint the same picture he is showing to understand him. He makes you think. He makes you look back and reflect on yourself and that is why metacognition is so crucial when you read his work. Only when you realize who you are and how you process work, how you look at the world, will you be able to see the world through Freire's eyes. And it is a beautiful, equal, and vibrant world.
