Having an open-mind is huge in my generation and especially in our developing society. Many older generations refer to us the "rising liberals" or "the voices of change", whatever else they call us. It is almost empowering knowing that I am a part of this open, strong, and understanding group of people who see the faults in our society and want to change them instead of just whining about it. It gives me pride in knowing that there are others like me that want to see a better, united world in the future.
But through this, one thing is for certain: we are open to all. Segregation and seeing everyone's differences as cruel markers is not justice and we are the ones pointing out these atrocities. "Change isn't pleasant, but change is true. Only when we change and grow, will we see a world we never know." This quote is true for not only where I am in my life, but for where we all are in this crazy world we call life. I believe that being open-minded will not only benefit the world, everyone around the globe, the people we surround ourselves with, but ourselves.
